Little Academy Preschool
Located in the heart of the charming town of Fairfax, Vermont, our preschool has been proudly serving families since 2003. We’re a locally-owned, family-centred early learning community dedicated to supporting children ages 3–5 as they take their first joyful steps into school-life.
Our Philosophy
Little Academy’s philosophy is based on the belief that all children learn best in an early childhood program that provides developmentally educational experiences in an integrated setting. Our program is designed to provide a learning environment that supports the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of every student. During our teacher directed learning experiences, activities are introduced in a play based manner. Students will engage in activity with support and guidance. Our aim is to build a community of learners by providing age appropriate experiences to develop self confidence, independence, as well as strong cognitive and social skills. Little Academy recognizes the importance of the home-school connection. We encourage continuous collaboration in a climate of mutual respect and shared responsibility within a play based environment.
Our Story
Little Academy Preschool was established in 2003, it began as a small preschool class that was designed to help with Pre-K community needs. The needs of our community grew and so did the program. It is now Licensed for 15 students per class. Sessions are divided by age. We host 2-3 sessions per year. Each session is a 10-hour Act 166 approved program. We are in agreement and collaboration with FWSU School districts.
